lizard

Lizards are cold blooded which brings some interesting initial traits. When lizard energy is with you, you tend to adjust to the feeling or temperature of a group quickly. The majority of lizards lay eggs and the temperature they mature at determines the hatchling’s gender. Males require more heat, which makes me think of all the times I have been in a group and the men are sweating while the women are complaining of being cold. However, I would also like to point out here that within a group dynamic lizard energy would help us to understand how to present our ideas to the group.

  • Does the idea have a more masculine feel to it? Does it require quick action and “striking while the iron is hot”?
    • Then treat it with all the energy you can muster for quick action.
  • Does the idea need more planning and research, nurturing if you will, to implement?
    • Then present it with a cooler head and map out the steps and their order that are needed.

But in all things is the need to be flexible and willing to quickly adapt to changes that arise in the process!

Time for the Shadow side of things.

When you find yourself dealing with lizard energy beware of getting stuck in a “hive mindset”. Don’t automatically go with the crowd just to be a part of what’s going on.

On the flip side of that, beware of getting an over inflated ego and becoming inflexible when your ideas are challenged. Just because there is a challenge doesn’t mean you are wrong and need to just give up and leave. Look at the challenge and see what, if any, opportunity for a greater result may be hiding within creating a win for the whole group!
